“Three-Time Champ” of Salisbury became the first progressive top prize winner on the new FAST PLAY game Lucky Numbers. She won $117,626!
Winner of two previous big prizes hits Lucky Numbers for $117,626
A Maryland Lottery fan who is quick to notice changes saw something new on Feb. 12 while she was running errands: the FAST PLAY instant games, which made their debut just two days earlier.
The Eastern Shore woman zipped over to the terminal at 7-Eleven #23767 in Salisbury and asked for the $10 FAST PLAY game called Lucky Numbers. It starts with a $100,000 top prize that increases each time someone in Maryland plays. The 27-year-old asked for a ticket, which has the look of a scratch-off game with all of the scratching already done. That ticket wasn’t a winner, so the top prize — already over $110,000 — bumped up a bit. She got another ticket with the same result. No prize but the game’s top prize inched up again.
“I said, ‘One more time,’ ” the mom of three recalled as she sat in the Lottery Winner’s Circle after claiming her prize. She bought the third Lucky Numbers ticket and, just that fast, she was richer by $117,626. Just as quickly, the top prize reset to $100,000 and began climbing again.
The Hebron woman is not new to big Maryland Lottery prizes. She and her husband collected $250,000 last year on the $250,000 Rich scratch-off and, in 2017, had a $100,000 payday on the $100,000 Super Triple 10 instant ticket.
