The Week in Winners: Lottery Delivers Six $50,000 Prizes Across the State

Players in Maryland won or claimed $27.3 million during the week ending Aug. 16
Six Maryland Lottery players – one each from Dundalk, Glen Burnie, Kensington, Owings Mills, Silver Spring and Westminster – landed $50,000 prizes in the seven days from Aug. 10-16.
Two of those $50,000 winners may not be aware of their windfalls, as a Bonus Match 5 ticket sold Aug. 15 in Owings Mills and a Powerball ticket sold Aug. 10 in Westminster remained unclaimed as of Aug. 17.
In all, Lottery players won or claimed nearly $27.3 million in the seven days ending Aug. 16, with 24 tickets worth $10,000 or more that were either sold or claimed during that span.
The Maryland Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore is open by appointment only. Lottery prizes up to and including $25,000 can be claimed at five of Maryland’s six casinos with no appointment necessary. Prizes of $25,001 or more must be claimed by appointment at the Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore. More information is available on the How To Claim page of mdlottery.com.
