Aberdeen Convenience Store Sells $50,000-Winning Powerball Ticket

The Labor Day weekend Powerball drawing delivered a $50,000 farewell-to-summer gift to a lucky player who visited an Aberdeen Royal Farms.
Although no one hit the jackpot in the Saturday, Sept. 5 drawing, Maryland Lottery retailers sold one $50,000-winning ticket along with 12,905 other winning tickets ranging from $4 to $100. This lucky game has produced 29 $50,000 winners in Maryland during 2020.
The Maryland Lottery is looking for the lucky player who bought the $50,000-winning ticket at Royal Farms #271, which is located at 3710 Churchville Road in Harford County. The winning numbers for the drawing were 15, 21, 22, 27 and 47; the Powerball was 7 and the Power Play multiplier was 2.
Lottery officials encourage winner to sign the back of the tickets immediately and put it in a safe location. Winners typically get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim prizes. However, the Lottery has temporarily extended claiming deadlines due to Maryland’s COVID-19 state of emergency. Since no one hit the Powerball jackpot, it rolled to $79 million for the Wednesday, Sept. 9 drawing. The cash option is $59.9 million.
