Avid Racetrax Fan Turns Dream of Numbers into $33,485 Prize

A retired Anne Arundel County woman played numbers from her dream and won the biggest Racetrax prize of her life.

Inspired by unforgettable numbers in a dream, a retired addictions specialist placed a Racetrax Superfecta wager the next day that delivered the biggest prize of her life. The Severn resident told Lottery officials that she has always had good luck with the computer-animated horseracing game. “I win all the time,” she said, “but not like this!” She won $33,485!
The lucky woman’s story begins the night of Wednesday, June 15. “These numbers kept showing up in the dream I was having. They were everywhere.” When she awoke just after midnight, the anonymous player – who is calling herself “Coco” for Lottery publicity – said she couldn’t get back to sleep. “The numbers just wouldn’t go away, even after I woke up.”
“Coco” wasn’t so sleep deprived the next morning, however, that she forgot her Lottery routine. She buys a few Racetrax games several days a week. “Those numbers could have meant a lot of things, or nothing. Just in case, though, I used them for a $20 Racetrax Superfecta ticket as soon as I left the house.”
The 58-year-old mother of two found herself at Lottery retailer Lucky’s Deli & Market that Thursday evening. “Coco” placed a Superfecta wager on the 10, 8, 7 and 3 horses for 20 races.
